Calvin "Koco" Brunson

Pianist and vocalist, has been the musical director for "Ain't Misbehavin'", Oscar Brown Junior's "The Great Nitty Gritty" and "Journey through Forever". He won a Jeff award for the musical score of "In De Beginnin'". As cultural ambassador for the city of Chicago, he performed in Japan and many European festivals such as Moers in Germany, Nichelsdorff in Austria and Rome in Italy. His most recent appearance was with Maggie Brown at the New Checkerboard Lounge.
