Donald "Buster" Woods, An explosive and dynamic musician, producer, writer, composer, arranger and educator who can match and even succeeded the talents of others in his field in the Chicago area as well as around the U.S. Over the years, Donald has accompanied such artist as Richard Smallwood, Walter and Edwin Hawkins, Kim Burrell, Vanessa Bell Armstrong, DeAndre Patterson, Smokie Norful and a host of other top name celebrities in the gospel arena.

At an early age, he showed such a unique style of poise and interpretation that he was found to be an excellent candidate for their apprenticeship program at The Dorolyn Academy of Music, a conservatory located in OakPark, IL. He has been teaching with the Academy since age 14. Donald brings a prodigious and exciting strategy to his students, whether their goal is re-creating a song or melody, developing an "ear" for chord recognition and implementation, style development, repertoire development, technique or overall performance. From the beginning stages to the advanced arenas, Donald is incredibly gifted in communicating a music message and have it interpreted into a music phenomenon.

His talent as an outstanding vocal arranger has afforded him the opportunity to work with several dynamic singers throughout the years. One group of singers whom he affectionately calls "His People" prompted him to form a gospel music conglomerate. These vocalists are inclusive of several musical genres and styles. "His People" are some of the most sought after vocalists for solo, concert recitals, musical theater and group recordings used for Background- live and studio. Offering the very best in Gospel, Jazz, R&B/Soul and Classical, "His People" are all natives of Chicago, IL but can easily be seen performing throughout the states and abroad on various platforms with some of the industry's most prominent artists. Some have rendered backing vocals for outstanding performers such as Smokie Norful, Donald Lawrence, Yolanda Adams, BeBe Winans, Marvin Sapp, Kim Burrell, Beyonce Knowles, Aretha Franklin and the late Ray Charles...
