Toi Overton

A native Chicagoan who has toured, and recorded with such greats as Chaka Khan, Jeffrey Osborne, Rod Stewart, the Gap Band and Stevie Wonder. Her theater work includes: The Divine One: The Sarah Vaughn Story (Black Ensemble theater), Wives (Dusable), Anthology of Gospel (Dream Street Theater), George Tom: The Thomas Dorsey Story (Baliwick Theater), A Tribute To Phyllis Hyman (Legacy Theater) just to mention a few. To is the director of theater for Women at the Black Ensemble Theater. Thanks to Jackie Taylor for unconditional love and support. To my family (especially daughters, Tammi & Shelli) and friends who only come as blessing. All Praises for all great things due to the Father in Jesus name. This show is dedicated to the memory of George “Poco” Patterson for introducing me to the Black Ensemble Theater.
