Recently featured on Jennifer Hudson's hit single "It's Your World", and after many years of performing, composing, and arranging, Phil Seed has cemented his place among the “A” list musicians in Chicago. Phil toured regularly with comedian Bernie Mac as an original member of Bernie’s stage band, “The Mac Men.” Soon thereafter, Phil would perform with such industry giants as Chaka Khan, George Duke, Sheila E., and Will Downing. In the Chicago area, Phil is perhaps best known as the longtime guitarist for Detour JazFunk.
Phil has performed with hip-hop and R&B artists Erykah Badu, Common, Marsha Ambrosius, and Eric Roberson. He also worked
with Cedric the Entertainer for his TBS
Just for Laughs live special “Cedric’s Urban Circus”. Presently he is pouring his musical passion and sense of humor into his much-anticipated solo project.
